Reasons to be cheerful ...
- chatting with family and friends
- getting confirmation via the blood test results that the dietary changes I've implemented over the past six or so months have made the big difference I was looking for, and ...
- ... starting the process to investigate, and hopefully, resolve the problems with joint pain and especially with my left knee
- selling the doll's house and the saxophone plus quite a few of the smaller items I have advertised
- that my sister is continuing to recover well from her brush with Covid
- that the re-organisation of the timetable for online classes will actually improve my weekly schedules and allow more time for socialising
- realising that adopting the mindset to enjoy each day is no longer an effort but has evolved into an acceptance that life is good and that I have plenty of things to enjoy every single day
- having a variety of things in the diary to look forward to
- loving the piano lessons and already seeing some improvements in my technique
- learning that the replacement fencing will be much cheaper than I was expecting
- shopping instore and feeling, just for a while, that normal life had resumed
I am grateful ...
- for the NHS and the care that friend H is receiving during her stay in hospital as she battles to recover from Covid
- for central heating and snuggle blankets as the days get cooler and autumn announces her arrival
- that I already had a full tank of petrol so was able to avoid the panic buying fiasco!
Lifestyle changes
- exercise:
- 45 minutes daily walk. Achieved 6 days out of 7
- 20 minutes daily knee strengthening. Achieved
- weight: no idea, I haven't weighed this week!
